A pub in America is offering customers a Bloody Mary - topped with a WHOLE fried chicken.

A pub in America has taken the concept of the hangover cure to the next level by offering punters a Bloody Mary - topped with a whole fried chicken.

Yep, you read that right - a whole fried chicken.

Sobelmans Pub and Grill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has made headlines worldwide with the calorific offering, which it dubs 'The Chicken Friend Bloody Beast'.

"At this time our Chicken Fried Bloodies will be available on Saturdays and Sundays on a first-come-first-served basis so don't dilly-dally, hurry in!" said bar owner Dave Sobelman, who has form in this area (he put a cheeseburger in a Bloody Mary in 2012).

The $50 creation features the makings of four of the establishment's regular Bloody Marys as well as two Baconadoes (skewers of bacon-wrapped jalapeno cheeseballs) and a WHOLE Fried Chicken,

Additional garnishes include sausage, pickle, olive, onion, mushroom, asparagus, scallion, shrimp, lemon,brussels sprout, tomato and celery.

Good lord, that's a lot of food. Even for 'Murica.

Dave has countered criticism that the creation is a bit, well, over the top, by saying that it is not intended for one person.

"Chicken Fried and our various Bloody Beasts are meant for four or more guests, though if someone chooses to tackle it alone all the more power to them!" replied Dave to one Facebook commenter who queried "whatever happened to portion control?"
