Cole happy with new beau

Cheryl Cole is "really happy" with her new French boyfriend.

The couple started dating over a month ago, before making it official at Cannes Film Festival over the last week and it is said the former Girls Aloud singer is delighted to be in a relationship with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "She's really happy. They're an item and Cheryl is ready to find love again.

"After a difficult few years, she wants to get back out there and start having some fun. Things are going brilliantly in her professional life - she has a new song out soon and can't wait to return to 'The X Factor'.

"But at the end of the day she wants to be in a relationship because that is what will make her really happy."

After the couple appeared at glitzy showbiz parties at the annual film festival - and also dined at his luxury restaurant Cosy Box - the two stars were said to be one of the "most electric" celebrity pairings at the event.

An insider said: "There's great chemistry between them. They have been the most electric couple in Cannes."
