It's blowing a blizzard at the back of Ben Bulben, and the results look pretty spectacular.

Flurries of snow have been falling around the country today but we're unlikely to see any more stunning photographs than these from Val Robus in Sligo.

Val - a keen snapper whose blog you can find at magnumlady.com told breakingnews.ie she was out and about in her car when the snow started to come down.
