Competition offers a date with George Clooney

It’s the prize that money can’t buy – a date Hollywood star George Clooney.

The Satellite Sentinel Project has launched a competition promising the winner “will hang with George Clooney backstage at Letterman, ride up in a limo and walk the red carpet at the Monuments Men premiere, and a whole lot more”.

Would-be entrants for a night with one of the world’s most desired bachelors will have plenty of rivals – the competition is open to entrants from around the world. Flights and hotel accommodation are included, with entrants asked to donate $10 to the organisation.

“First, you and a friend will be flown to New York City”, according to the competition webpage.

“You'll then go backstage at the Late Show with David Letterman for George's pre-premiere interview, ride to the premiere with George, and walk the red carpet with George, all before sitting in the VIP row for Monuments Men.

“As if that weren't enough, you'll then head to the after-party as George's VIP guests.”

The Satellite Sentinel Project, or SSP, “conducts monitoring of the border between Sudan and South Sudan as well as hot spots within Sudan to identify potential threats to civilians, and detect, deter, and document war crimes and crimes against humanity”.
