Tesco withdraws 'Inflatable G*y Best Friend'
Why the need to censor the word Gay?
One day after it had to apologise for selling a 'Psycho Ward' costume, Tesco are at it again.
They've had to apologise today for selling a doll labelled as an "inflatable g*y best friend".
The "amusing gift" has since been withdrawn from their website, because they deemed it "offensive".
However, they have failed to explain why they felt the need to censor the word "gay".
Something that a few Twitter users were wondering about too.
The inflatable g*y (their asterisks) best friend doll by @Tesco is a joke right? Right?! They censored the word gay?! http://t.co/NnyGA9Ws30

Dear @Tesco, why have you decided that the word 'gay' is a swearword? As a straight man who speaks English I am deeply offended.
