Clooney rules out real-life political role

George Clooney has ruled himself out of a political career and declared that politicians are far more cut-throat than actors.

He stars as a state governor who runs for US president in his new film, The Ides of March. The UK premiere of the movie took place in London's Leicester Square last night.

But Clooney said he does not have any political aspirations of his own, and never had.
