Report: Cheryl to return to US 'X Factor'

It is being reported Cheryl Cole could be heading back to America to re-take her seat as a judge on the US version of 'The X Factor'.

The News of the World are reporting that the u-turn means she will get her job back.

It is understood Simon Cowell told producers that 'The X Factor' needs Cheryl and backed his case with footage from the early auditions.

Showbiz editor for the News of The World, Dan Wootton, has said Cheryl had all but given up hope of cracking America.
