Firth film takes Canade prize
'The King's Speech', starring Colin Firth, has today won the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The period drama, which also stars Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter is about King George XI hiring a speech therapist to help overcome a stutter.
Previous winners of the Toronto Audience Award, which is often viewed as an early Oscars indicator, include 'Precious' and 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
