Connery unveils plaque to celebrate Scottish cinema
Hollywood star Sean Connery has returned to his birthplace to unveil a plaque celebrating his contribution to Scottish cinema.
The actor, best known for playing James Bond, was born in Fountainbridge in Edinburgh.
The plaque has been erected just yards from the site of the housing block where he spent the early part of his life.
It was demolished in the 1960s.
Connery also met staff from the newly-created Centre for the Moving Image.
