Producer Brooks gets Hollywood star

The comedian, actor and producer who gave the world 'Blazing Saddles', 'Young Frankenstein' and 'The Producers' got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Mel Brooks received the 2,406th star during a ceremony in front of the Egyptian Theatre. His son, Max, and friend, Carl Reiner, attended.

Brooks, who is 83, has won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.

He is working on a musical version of 'Blazing Saddles'.
