An audience of almost 3,000 clapped, cheered and gave film-maker Woody Allen and his jazz band a standing ovation at their first concert in Poland.

Allen, 73, playing the clarinet, was accompanied by his New Orleans Jazz Band for an intense and riveting performance of traditional jazz in Warsaw, telling the audience: “We will do our best to entertain you.”
