Gere stunned by Lane chemistry

Richard Gere is surprised by his on-screen chemistry with regular movie co-star Diane Lane, because they hardly talk.

Gere and Lane are currently promoting new movie 'Nights in Rodanthe' - their third movie together.

And the star is delighted they gel so well, because they never spend time together off screen.

He says: "The funny thing is we don't talk much at all. We have almost no relationship outside making movies. We exchange Christmas cards and, maybe once or twice a year, we'll call each other. Then, every ten years or so, we make a film, and it's very intense and we're right in each other's hearts and minds. It's a peculiar relationship. Thank God, we both have wonderful marriages."
