Kidd's M&S contract not renewed following 'drug scandal'
British supermodel Jodie Kidd is to no longer feature in a lucrative advertising campaign with Marks & Spencer stores after allegedly taking part in a drugs deal during an undercover newspaper expose.
The News of The World newspaper maintains that the 28-year-old tried to sell drugs to a reporter earlier this month.
Marks & Spencer bosses have now chosen not to renew Kidd's contract.
Kidd was the face of the retail company's credit card and financial services campaign, M&S Money.
“We do not have an ongoing contract with Jodie Kidd for M&S Money and have no plans to renew it,” said an M&S spokesperson. “The ad campaign has already ended and images in store and on point of sale will come to an end soon.”
A store source told Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper: "M&S doesn't do drugs. Period."
Sources claim Kidd's contract with car giants Maserati is also in doubt.
