Parker inducted into French legion of honour

Basketball ace Tony Parker has double reason to celebrate this month - as well as a new wife, the French star has also picked up one of his country's top honours.

Just a week after wedding actress Eva Longoria, Parker was inducted into the Legion of Honour on Saturday to mark France's national holiday.

The 25-year-old was feted for his sporting prowess with NBA champions San Antonio Spurs.

Earlier this year he became the first European to be the most valuable player in the NBA finals.
