Clooney hands over villa keys as wedding gift

Generous George Clooney has handed a pal the keys to his lavish Italian lakeside mansion - as a wedding gift.

The movie star slept in Thom Mathews' walk-in closet when he first arrived in Hollywood, and now he's able to repay his debt as his The Peacemaker co-star plans to wed.

Clooney has invited Mathews and his new bride, Karina Pozsar, to stay at his Lake Como villa for their honeymoon, according to American publication In Touch Weekly.

Matthews is a member of George's closest group of friends, nicknamed 'The Boys'.
