Canadian singer Nelly Futado plans to put together an "alternative" rock band with music producer Timbaland.
The 28-year-old singer - who collaborated with rapper Timbaland and Justin Timberlake for hit single Give It To Me, as well as a series of tracks on her last album Loose - has revealed plans for a new project.
She says: "I don't think it'd be, like, a real rock band. It's be more like our version of alternative, so it wouldn't necessarily be like heavy and guitar-driven. It would be left of field, but not necessarily pop."
