Tarantino defends violent films
Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has defended the portrayal of extreme violence in his films, following criticism by British politicians.
Earlier in the week Mayor of London Ken Livingstone blamed violence in films as a cause of a violent society, and Tarantino's films were the centre of debate in 1998, when a young man was murdered in Liverpool, in a way that was similar to a scene from Tarantino's film Reservoir Dogs.
