Enya nominated for two Grammies
Irish music star Enya has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for her latest multi-million selling album.
The three-time Grammy winning artist is in the running for Best Pop Instrumental Performance for Drifting and Best New Age Album for Amarantine.
The album which entered the UK charts at number eight has sold more than four million albums worldwide with 1.3 million snapped up in the UK, 500,000 in Japan, 385,000 in Germany and 280,000 sold in France.
The singer, who was born in Co Donegal to a musical family, has sold more than 70 million albums to date.
Enya's album A Day Without Rain released in 2000 was her biggest selling album to date remaining on the Billboard album chart for over two years.
The singer, who has picked up her sixth World Music Award, released a special edition of the album Amarantine last month.
The revised version of the album includes four new recordings of Christmas-themed songs, including the Latin version of O Come All Ye Faithful and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
