Russell Crowe was left perplexed on the set of new movie A Good Year when he was snubbed by his younger self.

The Oscar winner thought it would be beneficial to bond with Freddie Highmore - who plays his character Max Skinner as a boy - but the 14-year-old Finding Neverland actor turned him down.
