U2 win legal battle for hat
U2 today won a High Court battle against their former stylist forcing her to hand over a cowboy hat and clothes she took from the band in the late 1980s.
Lola Cashman had insisted she was gifted the Stetson hat, a pair of metal hooped earings, a green sweatshirt and a pair of black trousers.
But after a lengthy and costly legal fight with the rockers, a High Court judge ruled that on the balance of probability the items were not given to her during the band’s Joshua Tree tour in 1987.
