Concerts setback a sore point for Stones
More Rolling Stones tour dates have been delayed and one show cancelled over frontman Mick Jagger’s throat troubles.
The 63-year-old rocker has been advised to take four days off to rest his voice, forcing the band to push back a November 18 concert at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to November 22, according to a statement on the band’s website.
A November 5 show in Oakland has been postponed until November 6, while a November 3 show in Vancouver has been rescheduled for November 25. The group’s scheduled Tuesday show at the Beacon Theatre in New York City was postponed until today.
The Stones show in Honolulu has been cancelled, according to the statement.
Earlier, a Stones concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey, was pushed back from October 27 to November 17.
All tickets for the postponed concerts were expected to be honoured at the rescheduled shows.
In August, Mick Jagger’s struggle with laryngitis forced the Stones to reschedule or cancel several dates in Europe.
