Irish director Jim Sheridan's film about rapper 50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Tryin' - is not having an easy time on its theatre rounds Stateside.

Black protests, fights, violence, knifings. Life imitating art, sort of.

One cinema in Pittsburgh pulled the film following a gangland-style shooting.

Interestingly, though the critics haven't been kind to the film or to star 50 Cent, whereas audiences have taken to it big time.
