Kung Fu Hustle leads the way at Golden Horse awards
Martial arts extravaganza Kung Fu Hustle was the big name winner at Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards on Saturday.
Actor/film-maker Stephen Chow was named Best Director for his smash hit comedy/action movie at the Chinese-speaking world's premier film award ceremony.
Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou was named Best New Performer for his turn as a racing driver in Initial DD, while the Best Actor gong went to Aaron Kwok for his portrayal of a troubled policeman in Divergence.
Shu Qui was named Best Actress for her romantic role in Three Times, which was directed by Hoi Hsiao-Hsein - who was in turn honoured with the Best Taiwanese Film-Maker award.
