Neeson captures Kinsey essence
Before Alfred Kinsey arrived, sex was an unspoken act fit only for married couples. Kinsey, whose studies of insects proved less than engrossing for anyone but students, suddenly got the idea of exploring the sexual side of human behaviour, and in Kinsey we see just what a traumatic effect he had in this fascinating film, written and directed by Bill Condon.
Liam Neeson delivers a masterly performance in the title role, ably supported by Laura Linney (his wife Clara) and Peter Sarsgaards as his co-researcher.
