Suede stars slam gay rumours

Suede stars Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler are furious they can't declare their love for each other without the press reporting they're in a homosexual relationship.

The rockers are so relieved they've reunited, following the band's infamous split in 1994, they refuse to hide their new-found affection for one another.

But they are disgusted their public declaration of their love sparked rumours they are gay lovers.

Butler explains: "It's such a gay area. I could say broad emotional things about Brett, but they're no different to the emotional feelings I have for all my friends.

"We love each other, but I say that about everybody I like. It's nothing to do with sexuality."
