Mullan nearly sent McGregor to early grave

Scottish actor Ewan McGregor was almost suffocated to death by fellow Scottish actor Peter Mullan in a near-fatal film stunt.

Mullan - who is currently filming psychological thriller The Cargo - forced a plastic bag over McGregor's head in a gruesome scene from 1994 thriller Shallow Grave.
