Bullock made Austin home after locals chaperoned her

Miss Congeniality star Sandra Bullock decided to quit Los Angeles in favour of Austin after generous locals made sure she got back to her hotel safely after a drunken night out in the Texan city.

The 40-year-old screen beauty, who also has a home in New York City, has no desire to live Los Angeles because she doesn't want to be surrounded by the Hollywood community.
