Wahlberg: 'Christ changed my life'

Boogie Nights star Mark Wahlberg is glad he's rejected his philosophy of "cruelty and manipulation" to become a born-again Christian.

The movie hunk regrets rebelling against his family's religious faith and insists he's much happier since he rediscovered Jesus Christ's teachings of love, compassion and forgiveness.

He tells Empire magazine: "I definitely have my own kind of philosophy. It's changed over the years. I was certainly on the darker side at one point. I didn't give a f**k or think that anything mattered - it was all about cruelty and manipulation.

"That was me straying away from church and my faith, getting into trouble and turning to other things for comfort. But now it's all about love and compassion and forgiveness. For me, it's all about Jesus."
