Alien and Predator battle to entertain

Two of the cinema's bad guys - those of the title - meet in the snows of Antarctica to do battle, as they do every hundred or so years.

Alien v Predator

Director: Paul W.S. Anderson

Cast: Lance Henriksen, Sanaa Lathan, Raoul Bova, Ewan Bremmer

Cert: 12.

Two of the cinema's bad guys - those of the title - meet in the snows of Antarctica to do battle, as they do every hundred or so years.

It's what aliens and predators do; they just shouldn't do it on a big screen while we're eating our popcorn and snogging our favourite redhead.

The only plus about this awful film is that it looks quite good, but there's little else to grab our attention; aside from our favourite redhead.

If you do decide to take this one in - in much the same way as the makers are taking you in - don't anticipate anything that might remotely entertain you.

When aliens and predators next fight, just hope you're thousands of miles away from the nearest cinema.
