Damon eyed for political role

The Bourne Supremacy star Matt Damon has been eyed to play Republican Senator John McCain - by the politician himself.

The McCain family believes that Damon, a Democrat who is supporting American President George W Bush's opponent John Kerry in the upcoming elections, would be the perfect choice to play McCain if plans for a movie based on his life get the green light.
