A man who died at the Glastonbury festival was today named by police.

Neil Clinnings, 24, from the Cleveleys area of Lancashire collapsed in a car park outside the festival site at around 3am on Saturday.

Paramedics battled to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the site’s medical centre an hour later.

A post mortem examination was expected to be carried out tomorrow.

Avon and Somerset police said his death was believed to be drug-related and was not being treated as suspicious.

A 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs, both from the Swindon area, were granted police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers have reminded festival-goers to be wary of taking unknown substances and are asking revellers to keep an eye on friends.
