Arab Grammys turn into fiasco
It was to be a lavish ceremony, hyped as the Arab world’s version of the Grammys - but the first Arabian Music Awards in Dubai turned into a disaster of epic proportions.
Few of nominees promised for the “star-studded” event turned up, delaying the start by nearly three hours. The audience booed and most eventually abandoned the seats they had paid nearly €1,500 for.
