Kenneth Branagh will be heading for the Isle of Man to make the £14m (€21.1m) Five Children and It, based on the classic E Nesbitt children's story about five youngsters sent to stay with their uncle in a strange seaside house.

The Belfast-born actor will be joined by English comic Eddie Izzard and Freddie Highmore.

The live action-animated film starts shooting in July.

The Isle of Man has become a centre these days for the British film industry, with Johnny Depp also on the island for a major new adventure film.
