TV journalists strike in Australia

Australian Broadcasting Corporation journalists in Melbourne went on strike today over plans to slash local TV sports programming.

About 60 staff voted for the 24-hour strike because of a new national evening TV sports show that is produced in Sydney and replaces locally-produced sports shows across the nation.
