Gervais gets Bafta reprieve

Actor Ricky Gervais is back in line for a Bafta after award chiefs decided to include his name on their list even though the BBC forgot to nominate him.

Gervais accused the BBC of “incompetence” for accidentally missing him off the list for best comedy performance because of what the corporation said was a “clerical error“.
