Clooney gathers cast for Ocean's Twelve
George Clooney has persuaded the cast of his 2001 hit film Ocean’s Eleven to return for Ocean’s Twelve, which he calls “the sequel to a remake”.
The original 1960 Ocean’s Eleven, which starred Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack, was remade by Clooney and his actor-producer partner Steven Soderbergh, with a cast that included Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts.
“It took a lot of juggling of schedules but everyone has agreed to come back for a sequel,” he told reporters at a New York press conference.
Filming will begin on March 1 and this time all the cast will be working for low salaries in exchange for a percentage of the profits.
“This way everyone has a vested interest in making sure the film is a success,” said Clooney.
