At 63, the perennial Young One Cliff Richard still looks nowhere near his true age, but maintaining those boyish good looks comes with a handsome price tag, it emerged yesterday.

He spoke frankly for the first time about the “terrific pressure” of being dubbed the Peter Pan of Pop and his regrets after experimenting with cosmetic treatment to reduce the lines on his forehead

“I’ve already tried Botox, but I went off it.

“It wasn’t painful but the effect for me was that my eyebrows seemed to drop and I didn’t like the look of that,” Cliff told Hello! magazine.

However, Cliff said he would make no apologies about using cosmetic surgery if his music career was still as successful in a few years time.

“If my career’s still going strong at 70 and everything’s beginning to sag, yes, I’ll have plastic surgery – and I won’t care who knows.”
