Disruption expected ahead of Slane gig
Traffic disruption is expected today as the Red Hot Chili Peppers head this year’s concert at Slane Castle in Co Meath.
Also appearing are the Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Feeder and PJ Harvey.
Around 80,000 people are expected to attend the concert and tickets for the gig sold out in just two and a half hours.
Heavy security has been put in place around the grounds of the castle and medical personnel will be standing by for the duration of the 10-hour concert.
U2, The Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Robbie Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Oasis and REM are just some of the bands that have performed at the Co Meath venue previously.
