Lightning strikes twice for Grease stars

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John are to star in a sequel to hit musical Grease, it was reported today.

The new film will feature the children of the original characters set in the late 1970s disco era.

Travolta, 49, and Newton-John, 54, will play their parents in Grease 3, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The pair swept to stardom as rocker Danny Zucco and innocent Sandy Ollson in the first film released 25-years-ago.

Travolta and Newton-John were not in the 1982 Grease 2, which flopped at the box office.
