Martin Bashir said he had “not betrayed” Michael Jackson and that he thought the star’s life had not been “permanently disfigured” by his interview with him.

The journalist was answering questions on a live ITV.com webchat about the making of Living With Michael Jackson, screened on ITV1 last week.
