US 'Pop Idol' show sued by 50-year-old professor

A 50-year-old professor is suing the US version of Pop Idol, claiming he was barred from auditioning for the show because of his age.

Film lecturer Drew Cummings alleges producers told him he was too old to perform in front of Simon Cowell and his fellow American Idol judges in Miami Beach last November.
