Kidman will play DiCaprio's mother in next film

Nicole Kidman has confirmed she is to play Leonardo DiCaprio’s mother in Alexander the Great, despite being only seven years older than him.

She will star in the role of Olympia, Alexander’s mother, in Baz Luhrmann’s epic which is due to start filming this year.

Make-up and special effects will be used to show her ageing as her son grows from a boy to a man.
