Speculation mounts over Stella's Irish wedding

Speculation is mounting over Stella McCartney's wedding to fiance Alasdhair Willis.

According to tabloid reports, the pair are planning to marry in a secret New Year's ceremony in Ireland.

It is expected to be a low-key affair with just immediate family and close friends, including Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, attending.

Stella is also rumoured to have invited stepmother Heather Mills, with whom she is reported to have a tense relationship.

Guests were booked onto a Holyhead ferry at the weekend and told to keep the rest of the week clear, reports the London Evening Standard.

Stella announced her engagement to Willis, a former publisher of style magazine Wallpaper, in June.
