Matrix producers approach acts for soundtrack

Linkin Park, System Of A Down and The Prodigy are all reported to be contributing to the soundtrack to the next Matrix film.

According to MTV, they are among the acts producers hope to persuade to write songs for the soundtrack to The Matrix Reloaded.

Other acts being lined up include former Rage Against the Machine singer Zack de la Rocha, Disturbed and Deftones.

According to www.mtv.com, the music supervisor is DJ/remixer Jason Bentley.

A separate soundtrack to the third movie in the trilogy, The Matrix Revolutions, will be compiled to coincide with that film's opening.

Both Matrix sequels are due to be released next year.
