Second U2 compilation 'may feature new tracks'
U2's second 'greatest hits' album could include some new material.
A spokesman for the group has confirmed a new Best Of is planned for later this year, featuring tracks from 1991 to 2000.
Long-time U2 producer Daniel Lanois says the band are "probably looking to pepper" the album with "a new track or two."
The hits collection will feature songs released between Achtung Baby and All That You Can't Leave Behind.
Unlike the group's first greatest hits, Best Of U2: 1980-90 released in 1998 and which included a second disc of B-sides, the new hits album will probably be released on a single disc, www.mtv.com reports.
The second volume of hits may also include Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, from the 1995 Batman Returns soundtrack and Miss Sarajevo from 1995's Passengers: Original Soundtracks 1 album.
The record company spokesman said if the group's current recording sessions are especially productive some tracks may end up on U2's next studio album.
