No painkillers for 12lb newborn's mum

A 28-year-old woman is recovering after giving birth to a 12lb 2oz boy naturally and without painkillers.

Hayley Newcombe, of Sudbury, Suffolk, in England gave birth to Thomas Newcombe within two hours and 40 minutes of her waters breaking.

The boy, who is the size of an average three-month-old baby, and his mother are both doing well in hospital.
