Apple reveals iPad update

Apple today revealed an updated version of its most popular iPad model featuring a 9.7-inch Retina display with over 3.1 million pixels and a ‘sturdy yet thin aluminium unibody’.

Apple revealed the new iPad model in a press release, and also noted that the new device comes with a number of innovative features including Swift Playgrounds, Split Screen and Microsoft Office in addition to Touch ID for improved security.

The new iPad is available to order from apple.com from Friday, March 24, and is retailing for $329.
