It's official. Ron Swanson loves Guinness and Taytos!

We all know that Ron Swanson has a distinct disdain for Europe.

It's official. Ron Swanson loves Guinness and Taytos!

However, we've always suspected that he wouldn't include Ireland in his antipathy.

After all, we are the home of the world's most famous stout and we produce mountains of excellent beef.

Well, our suspicions have now been confirmed.

Nick Offerman, who played Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation from 2009 to 2015, visited Dublin for a show at the Olympia theatre with his equally funny wife Megan Mullaly last night and was quite taken with our simple Irish pleasures of potatoes in snack form and Guinness!

We know Ron and Nick are different people but we'll take Nick's endorsement as the seal of approval from Ron.

If you ever need to leave Pawnee Ron, there's a home for you here.

In other Nick Offerman related news, a Cork based artist, Gary McShane, presented the comedian with a stunning portrait that took seven months to create.

Offerman tweeted about the portrait earlier this month and Gary got the chance to present it to the man himself in person.

A piece of fine craftsmanship in the true Swanson tradition.
