A mutilated street dog who was flown across the Atlantic to a rescue centre in America has found a happy home.

Earlier this year, the poor dog called Anubis was found on the streets of Cairo with his nose brutally cut off. Nobody knows the reason why, but that doesn’t matter, it just shouldn’t have happened.

According to the New York Daily News, when rescuers found him cowering under a car, he was toughing it out on the streets scooping food off the ground with his lower jaw.
