Next year's iPhones could be glass-backed

That’s according to a note to investors from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. He writes that many of Apple’s competitors have been releasing aluminium-cased phones, which is prompting the design change. Apple plans to release a glass-backed phone to stand out from the competition.

Apple is also being tipped to add an AMOLED display to this iPhone too. While the glass casing will increase the weight of the device slightly, an AMOLED display should compensate for that somewhat.
